Potions are consumable items in Remixed Dungeon that provide various beneficial or sometimes harmful effects when consumed or shattered. Potions are one of the primary types of consumable items in the game.

• Potion of Healing - Restores health points
• Potion of Might - Permanently increases strength and health
• Potion of Strength - Permanently increases strength
• Potion of Experience - Provides experience points
• Potion of Frost - Creates freezing gas cloud
• Potion of Invisibility - Grants temporary invisibility
• Potion of Liquid Flame - Creates fire cloud
• Potion of Overhealing - Provides temporary health buffer
• Potion of Purity - Neutralizes harmful gases and status effects
• Potion of Toxic Gas - Creates poisonous gas cloud
• Potion of Levitation - Grants temporary levitation
• Potion of Mind Vision - Reveals nearby creatures and items

• Potion of Paralytic Gas - Creates paralyzing gas cloud

Potions begin as mystery liquids that must be identified before their effects are known:

• Potions can be identified by drinking, throwing, or using a Scroll of Identify
• Unidentified potions have random appearances that change each game
• Identified potions keep their appearance for the remainder of the game
• Some classes have special identification abilities

• Potions can be consumed directly or thrown/shattered on the ground
• When thrown, the effect occurs at the location where the potion breaks
• Some potions have different effects when drunk vs. when shattered
• Potions can be used to moisten arrows, scrolls, and other items in certain combinations
• Most potions have a base price of 40 gold when identified

• Identify potions safely when possible before using them
• Consider throwing potions to affect enemies rather than drinking them
• Some potions are more valuable for their utility than direct consumption
• Potions can be used defensively to create barriers or escape situations
