Root

Root is an earth-based spell available to several classes in Remixed Pixel Dungeon.

Root causes the target to become rooted to the ground, preventing movement for a period of time. During this time, rooted enemies cannot chase the hero or move away, though they may still attack if able.

* Mana Cost: Moderate * Range: Medium * Effect: Immobilizes target for several turns

This spell is particularly useful for:

• Stopping fleeing enemies
• Preventing enemies from chasing
• Creating distance in combat
• Setting up attacks on rooted targets

• Mage: Available through elemental magic affinity
• Elf: Natural affinity with nature-based magic
• Other classes: May learn through class-specific abilities

Root is best used when you need to control an enemy's position or when you need to disengage from combat temporarily. It pairs well with ranged attacks or spells that have area effects.
