Treacherous Spirit

Treacherous Spirits are powerful dark creatures that appear as clouds of living darkness with a giant eye. They're associated with the mysterious Stranger NPC quest.

This monstrous creature looks like a cloud of living darkness. It's gigantic eye stares at you while pulsating with each movement you make. It's one of the more dangerous spirits in the dungeon.

• Appearance: Cloud of living darkness with a prominent eye
• Health: High, for a spirit creature
• Attack: Dark-based magical attacks
• Abilities:
  • Potentially ranged attacks
  • May have spirit-specific abilities
  • Dark magic resistance/immunities

• Stranger's Request: The Stranger asks players to defeat the Treacherous Spirit
• Reward: Defeating it and returning the Heart of Darkness to the Stranger provides a reward
• Quest Item: Drops the Heart of Darkness

Treacherous Spirits can be found:

• On specific dungeon levels (often related to the Stranger quest)
• In darker areas of the dungeon
• Possibly in special spirit-themed areas

• Spirit Nature: May have standard spirit resistances/immunities
• Dark Magic: Connected to dark magical properties
• Intelligence: May show signs of tactical intelligence
• Aggression: Likely aggressive when encountered

• Be prepared for magical attacks
• Holy or light-based attacks may be particularly effective
• Watch for area-of-effect abilities
• Consider that the quest might be completable through Necromancy (see Necromancer class options)
