Mob

Mob

Mobs (Mobiles) are mobile entities in the dungeon, including both enemies and neutral creatures. Most mobs are hostile and will attack the hero when approached or seen.

Common Mobs

  • Rat - Weak but numerous enemies in the sewers
  • Gnoll - Various types of warrior and shaman enemies
  • Crab - High defense enemies in the sewers
  • Golem - Strong magical constructs
  • Elemental - Fire, ice, shock, and chaos elementals
  • Spider - Various types of web-spinning creatures

Mob Stats

  • Level - Determines relative power compared to hero
  • HP - Health points before defeated
  • Damage - Attack power against hero
  • Defense - Reduces damage from hero attacks
  • Speed - Determines how often the mob acts

AI Behavior

  • Most mobs will pursue and attack the hero when aware
  • Some mobs have special behaviors (fleeing, summoning allies, etc.)
  • Mobs may have special abilities or resistances

Strategy

  • Learn enemy resistances and weaknesses
  • Use terrain to fight enemies in advantageous positions
  • Identify strong enemies before engaging
  • Some enemies are better avoided than fought
